New Year Schedule Changes!
Please note the following changes to our schedule over New Year's weekend!
2011: Gooooooals!!!
Instead of leaving everyone to their own devices, we are going to go ahead and formulate some resolutions for the gym en masse. As a group we stand a greater chance of successfully making positive changes in our life. If we are all working towards the same goals then we can help pull each other along.
Morning Classes Canceled This Week
Due to the blizzard, the fact that NYC clearly doesn't feel obliged to rush into plowing Brooklyn, and just because it's that lazy week between Christmas and New Year, 7:30am class will be canceled on Wednesday and Friday, December 29th & December 31st.
Free Back Health Class with Esther Gokhale
We're happy to welcome Esther Gokhale, author of, "8 Steps to a Pain-Free Back" to the Brooklyn Barbell Club for a free lesson on how to improve your back health.
Warm Up
You need to warm up. Period. A proper warm-up can increase the blood flow to the working muscle which results in decreased muscle stiffness, less risk of injury and improved performance. Additional benefits of warming up include physiological and psychological preparation.
Run & Performance Seminar
On Saturday, December 18th, Brian Mackenzie, The Most Dangerous Man in Endurance Training, is coming to Brooklyn to teach you how to run. This is an amazing opportunity to get coached by one of the best running coaches in the country.
