Beat The Streets 2012!

On Saturday, September 22nd, at 10am we’ll be throwing a workout / BBQ / fundraising extravaganza in support of our Steve’s Club NYC program! All donations go directly to training specific kids and teens in tough neighborhoods to get them off the streets and into CrossFit.  This is a great cause and should be a lot of fun!

To Participate

Step One: Find A Workout Buddy

This is a partner competition – each team will consist of 2 athletes (M/M, F/F, M/F, Youth/M, Youth/F, Youth/Youth.) If you have a special someone in mind, show up with them. If you don’t, you can join as an individual and we’ll match you up with a partner. Either way, please RSVP to our Facebook invitation so we know you’re coming!

Step Two: Raise Some Money


We ask that each participant contribute a minimum of $25.  Please make your donation at our Razoo donation page.

Beat the Streets will take place in lieu of regularly scheduled 10am and 11am classes, but you will not be charged for a class to participate, so please give generously!

Stage Three: Complete the Workout

Show up at 10am on Saturday, September 22nd to get in on this hot workout action —

2-Person Teams, AMRAP in 10 minutes:

  • 40 KB Swings (1.5pd, 54#/1 pd, 36#)
  • 30 Burpees
  • 20 Pullups (Competitive: Chest to Bar Pullups, Social: Jumping pullups)
  • 10 Squats (Competitive: Front Squats 135#/95#, Social: Air Squats)

One person working at a time. Score is total number of reps in 10 min.

Stage Four: Rock the Afterparty!

Following the workout we will be grilling / hanging out / drinking.  Feel free to bring some meat, beer, and/or tequila and join us!
