This is Your Body on Carbs!
By the mid-1960s, four facts had been established beyond reasonable doubt: (1) carbohydrates are singularly responsible for prompting insulin secretion; (2) insulin is singularly responsible for inducing fat accumulation; (3) dietary carbohydrates are required for excess fat accumulation; and (4) both Type 2 diabetics and the obese have abnormally elevated levels of circulating insulin and a “greatly exaggerated” insulin response to carbohydrates in the diet.
If you are still eating sugar, bread, pasta, rice, potatoes and other starchy foods, then you are greatly increasing your risk of all the diseases associated with Metabolic Syndrome such as: Hypertension, High Cholesterol, Heart Disease, Obesity, Diabetes and Cancer.
Get off the crack as soon as you can! I cannot emphasize enough how important it is to avoid sugar and carbohydrates. Please read Good Calories, Bad Calories by Gary Taubes and convince yourself to eat a diet rich in protein and fat. Do not be discouraged by the media that will lie to you and tell you how fat is bad. Rest assured eating less carbohydrates will save your life.
