Boomer

“Live in the sunshine, swim the sea, drink the wild air.” Ralph Waldo Emerson

“If you want to learn to swim jump into the water. On dry land no frame of mind is ever going to help you.” Bruce Lee

Today we are going to take a look at Bill Boomer the coach for the 2000 Olympic swim team. I appreciate Boomer because he is all about technique. The interesting thing about Boomer is that he did not start out as a swimmer. He was offered a job to coach a swim team and then decided he should learn about swimming. This lead to his unconventional approach to swim coaching. Here are few interesting articles on him and swimming technique. Hopefully after reading this you might decide to spend some time at the pool or the beach this summer and do some swimming.
