Bite-Sized CrossFit Concepts: The 10 Physical Skills
How do we know CrossFit improves fitness? There isn’t one definition of fitness, but we have some models that we use to define it and guide us in our quest to become more fit!
Let’s talk about the 10 Physical Skills. CrossFit uses these skills as a guide in measuring fitness: the person that has a balance of all these adaptations is the most fit.
Strength, Cardio/Respiratory Endurance, Stamina, and Flexibility are adaptations to training that alter structural components of your body.
Coordination, Accuracy, Agility and Balance are adaptations to practice that affect your nervous system.
Power and Speed are adaptations to both training and practice.
Our programming hits all of these skills, and our aim is to improve each one of them in order to make you more fit.
Food For Thought
